But I'm used to sleeping with humans, so I can do it lying down for longer than most jinba, I think-

I can sleep standing up or laying down but I can't lay down for too long, that's what I mean!!!!

[ And awaaaay to the gardens. Arenvald doesn’t have the energy to deal with his armor just yet and prefers not to wear it around the Temple if he can help it. Instead, he’s dressed in one of the outfits Rion helped him pick out while they were on Struxta. ]

[It takes her a bit longer than she'd like to get out there, legs still slightly shaky but a bit more from laying down too much now than from the throes is sickness, so... it was a good idea to use them. She's still dressed... exactly the same, just sans bear hide wrap and harness, and when she catches sight of Arenvald she waves, walking over with a weak smile.]

You look much better, Arenvald... I'm glad.

[Even if she'd said some pretty weird stuff earlier, it's good to see him back on his feet.]

So that's what's under all that armor, huh?

[ They’ve both got a bit of newborn deer about them – unsteady on their feet ins some moments, a bit shaky in others – but it’s simply a matter of regaining their strength. A walk is a perfect way to do that.

He grins back at her, the expression punctuated by a chuckle. ]

[Konoha smiles, waving her hand to dismiss the very idea.]

[She's seen her share of loincloths working at the yard, but when men were... actually wearing clothes, they were far less fitted.]

Ah, it’s pretty different for me as well. Rion took me shopping while we were in Struxta.

[ He reaches over to tug at the hem of one of his sleeves. ]

But I am glad to have something other than plate armor to wear.

[It had never even occurred to Konoha to shop for clothing. Her mother had woven everything she'd ever worn, there wasn't enough money for expenses like clothing made by other people. In her mind shopping was... metal tools, the occasional indulgence like a candy or a ribbon, not...]

Oh, geez, clothes!

[Her hands fly to her kimono, tugging on the fabric to examine it with a somewhat shocked expression. It was still alright, but her skirt had a few faded bloodstains on it, clumsy but effective stitches along certain parts to repair the fabric.]

I should have done that, too!

[ Everyone in the Circle probably showed up with naught more than the clothes on their backs. Some of them have got to be looking a little ragged by now, but Konoha’s kimono seems to be faring well! ]

Mayhap the next place we go will have clothing shops. If you need help, Rion was a good shopping partner.

[She rubs the fabric of her kimono between her fingers, homespun and warm.]

Er, the basics, I suppose, from merchants and the like when I could afford it. I never put much thought into putting an outfit together before, though.

[She seems really impressed by just the fact that he had been of means enough to purchase clothing made by someone else, even as she smiles and gestures for him to join her as she begins a slow-paced walk.]

I guess I'll have to ask this Rion person, too. My mother made everything for me before, and she picked the colors... my weaving isn't the best, haha...

Yeah? I don’t think I could ever be a craftsman of any sort, so your mother has one up on us both. But if you’d like me to introduce you to Rion sometime, I certainly can.

No one else from my world, I don’t think, but there were a few of them here when I arrived, else we showed up at the same time. It’s nice to have familiar faces here, so I’m glad you’ve a friend. I should like to meet him, sometime.

Mikuni's a jinba, too, but bigger than me, and all black! Really beautiful, too! I want him to know all sorts of good humans, so of course I'll introduce you!

... Are you human, Arenvald?

[ It’s hard to imagine a jinba bigger than Konoha, but his knowledge of the types of horses out there is pretty limited, and besides, jinba might have unique clans among themselves, like the races of his home world. ]

Where I come from, we use the word “hyur”, but best I can figure, that pretty much means “human”. Probably the same as the difference between “jinba” and “centaur”.
